Solvgade

Solvgade is a San Francisco-based band that was formed in 1991. The band, whose name translates to Silver Street in Dutch, never traveled outside of San Francisco, but they quickly gained a following in the local music scene. The band was comprised of guitarist Paul Martinez and singer Tim Peters, who met while working at the same warehouse and decided to form a band together. They were joined by drummer Tuan Titlestad and bassist Kevin Southey, who are cousins and kindred spirits. Despite never performing outside of San Francisco, Solvgade made a name for themselves in the city's thriving music scene of the early '90s.
